Hypertension and kidney disease
Research Description
Chronic kidney disease is a powerful risk factor for cardiovascular disease. Mouse models of human diseases are used to study the effect of deletion or modification of genes, particularly GSTM1, MYH9 and Collectrin on development of hypertension and hypertension-associated kidney diseases.
