Hello! I’m Brianna, and I’m part of the incoming UVA SOM Class of 2025. I grew up in Virginia Beach and on the Navaho reservation when my mother was deployed. I attended Christopher Newport University where I graduated with my B.S. in Neuroscience in 2019. I then completed my M.S. in Biomedical Sciences at Eastern Virginia Medical School in 2021. I worked as an EMT for the Virginia Beach Volunteer Rescue Squad right up until the GSP Summer Program. I plan to pursue a career in pediatrics or family medicine, but I am also passionate about healthcare policy and want to work towards providing more equitable and accessible healthcare to Native American communities in Virginia.
