I was born and raised in Michigan and graduated from the University of Michigan in 2021, with a bachelor’s and master’s in Biomedical Engineering. My past research was in medical device development, and I am interested in creating physical devices that have a tangible impact on patient outcomes. I also have a passion for underserved/Latino/global healthcare and have worked with underserved populations continuously since high school. I have traveled to Honduras, Ecuador, and Lesotho on service trips in the past and appreciate the diversity of culture that can be explored outside of the United States. I hope to be able to use my interests and my Spanish ability to work with the Latino community in Charlottesville. I am also a part of the Generalist Scholar Program here at UVA and hope to go into family medicine or pediatrics in the future! Outside of academia, I am very musical and enjoy singing and playing the piano in my free time. I also enjoy being outside, exercising, and hanging out with people.
