Congratulations to graduate students Daniel Phipps and Salma Sharmin for winning awards at the 2025 Microbiology, Immunology and Cancer Biology Annual Retreat. Daniel’s talk, titled, “Mechanisms linking Drp1 and mitochondrial fission to tumor growth in KRas-driven colon cancer” won a flash talk award and Salma’s poster, titled, “Reactivation DRP1 phosphorylation by c-MYC-CDK4/6 signaling axis plays a functional role in resistance to MEK inhibition in pancreatic cancer cells” won a poster award.
