A member of the Center for Membrane and Cell Physiology, the Kenworthy lab is interested in understanding how membrane nanodomains such as lipid rafts and caveolae assemble and function in health and disease. We address these questions using a combination of live cell imaging, cell biology, biophysics, and biochemical approaches. We collaborate with structural biologists, biomathematicians, physical chemists and clinicians to understand these processes more holistically.
