Research Interests
Pathogenesis of acute kidney injury; role of PPAR alpha in AKI and the role of pericytes in progressive fibrosis.
Research Description
My major interest has been to understand, at the cellular level, the mechanisms leading to proximal tubule cell death during Acute Kidney Injury(AKI). I am also interested in understanding of cellular mechanisms leading to interstitial fibrosis and progression from AKI to Chronic Kidney Disease.
