Awards for our doctors from Scoliosis Research Society and Congress of Neurological Surgeons

UVA Neurosurgeon Dr. Justin Smith and our resident Dr. Tom Buell won the the prestigious Whitecloud Award for Best Clinical Paper at the International Meeting on Advanced Spine Techniques, for their study of Complication Rates Associated with Adult Cervical Deformity Surgery.  Our residents Drs. Jared Chen and Jon Pomeraniec were also selected for Best Abstracts of 2020 by the Congress of Neurological Surgeons. These notable achievements come on the heels of our neurosurgery residency program being ranked 4th nationally among all neurosurgery programs in Research Output, as ranked by Doximity.
