Mission Statement & Goals
The Mission and Values of the Department of Pediatrics Fellowship Programs:
- The University of Virginia Fellowship Programs teach, mentor, and induct physicians into pediatric academic medicine.
- We value the development of subspecialty board-certified faculty members and future academic leaders.
- We provide fellowship education in the setting of specialized clinical excellence and family-centered care.
- We provide education in research methods and an opportunity for a mentored, hands-on application of those methods resulting in the publication of new findings.
