Pharmacology PhD candidate Synphane Gibbs-Shelton wrote an article on how “Immune cells in the brain may reduce damage during seizures and promote recovery, according to study in mice” that was recently featured in the UVA Today Daily Report. She has been conducting research in the Eyo lab to gather more information on seizure disorders and the role that Microglia might play in preventing them.
