Alexis Clark, with help from Lily Russo-Savage, Nicolas Amselle, Luke Ashton, and Niki Haghshenas of the Schulman Lab, uncovered an important role for high cholesterol in the development of liver disease.
This research was recently published in Nature Communications under the title “A mutation in LXRα uncovers a role for cholesterol sensing in limiting metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis”.
