Congratulations to Jewelle Sanchez on her receipt of the 2025 Harrison Undergraduate Research Award!
Made possible through the generosity of the late David A. Harrison, III and his family, the Harrison Undergraduate Research Award funds to outstanding undergraduate research projects each year. Student applicants will propose a substantial and significant research project under the supervision of a UVA faculty mentor to be carried out in the summer following application for the award.
Her project is titled: “Mapping Cortical Activity in Absence Epilepsy: A Widefield Imaging Approach.”, and she is mentored by Scott Kilianski, a Postdoctoral Researcher in Mark Beenhakker’s lab.
