The 2025 22nd SFRR-I Biennial meeting hosted by SFRR-E was held from June 3-6, 2025 in Galway, Ireland, at the University of Galway campus, and the theme this year was: The New Era of Redox Biology: from Basic Biochemistry to Redox Omics.
Katarzyna Bednarczyk, Biolabs Graduate Student in the lab of Norbert Leitinger attended this year and presented a poster on “Mechanisms of Heme-Induced Cell Death in Macrophages”, and won a young investigator award to fund a return trip for her next year!
Award winners receive a certificate at the Awards Ceremony during each Annual SFRR-E Meeting. There will be an Oral Presentation session dedicated to previous year’s Young Investigator Award Winners, at which awardees give a short slot (usually 10 mins) to present their research. This can be an update of the research presented in a poster the previous year, or a new area so long as it is still within the remit of the Society.
Congratulations Kasia!
