Alcalá Receives Dean’s Award from UCLA’s Fielding School

Héctor E. Alcalá, PhD, MPH, CPH, post doctoral Research Associate in the Department of Public Health Sciences was recently named the recipient of a Dean’s Outstanding Student Award by the Fielding School of Public Health at the University of California-Los Angeles. The award is given to one graduating PHD student in each department (based on a combination of academic achievements, community service and leadership). Alcalá’s research focused on examining the relationship between child abuse and cancer in adulthood.
