Our department is very proud to recognize Drs. Deal, Squeo, Stephens, Chou, Pawly, and Glenney for their tremendous efforts in this year’s, 2025 ASPS Resident Bowl. The UVA plastic surgery team took home the Khoot Question Resident Bowl title. Congratulations for a job well done.
Accolades go out to both Robert DeVito, MD and Jesse Chou, MD. Each represented our program at the 2025 SESPRS annual meeting. Dr. DeVito was award the 2025 SESPRS Best Quick Shot Presentation and Dr. Chou brought home runner up in the Glancy Award Competition.
UVA residents were well represented at the 2024 Virginia Society of Plastic Surgeons. We brought home the Old Dominion Cup for a second year in a row. Congratulations to Dr. Rachel Park for her 2024 best presentation.
Congratulations to Dr. Kristen Stephens on receiving the 2023 Old Dominion Cup! This award is given by the Virginia Society of Plastic Surgeons to the resident with the best presentation.
Dr. Ally Deal received the 2023 Arnold P. Gold Resident Humanism and Excellence in Teaching Award! This award is given by the School of Medicine 2023 and 2024 classes. This is an impressive achievement considering all the different teachers that medical students encounter.
