On March 29, 2021, Dr. Ziv Haskal, FSIR, Professor in the UVA Department of Radiology and Medical Imaging, presented the SIR 2021 Charles T. Dotter Lecture. Dr. Haskal’s lecture was entitled “The Reluctant Cowboy: Moving Past Myth and Dogma.”
The Dotter Lecture, supported by the SIR Foundation, is an annual event named in honor of Dr. Charles T. Dotter, considered to be the founding father of interventional radiology. The annual lecture spotlights an outstanding interventional radiologist who has greatly contributed to the field and to SIR. Dr. Alan Matsumoto, FSIR, Chair of the UVA Department of Radiology and Medical Imaging, delivered the 2019 Dotter Lecture.
