Robert Devich, MD
Surgery Resident
Medical School: Pennsylvania State University
I’m from Reading, Pennsylvania and went to the University of Pittsburgh for undergrad. I got my paramedic certification during college and worked on an ambulance for 3 years before going to medical school at Penn State College of Medicine. I came to UVA for general surgery because of the collaborative and respectful culture, the commitment to clinical and academic excellence, and the opportunities for mentorship and research. I did an away rotation at UVA during my fourth year of medical school and knew this was the place for me! I’m interested in cardiothoracic surgery, trauma/critical care, or surgical oncology. Outside of the hospital I love to be outside, play sports (especially volleyball and softball), workout, play and listen to music, and cook some great food! I’m excited to explore Charlottesville and take advantage of all the hiking and food scenes nearby.
