Our mission is to advance patient care through quality research and skillful excellence. In alignment with the Vision of UVA Health, each division is working to transform patient care, research, education, and engagement with the communities we serve. With a Level 1 Trauma Center, 32 operating rooms, 2,000+ cardiothoracic procedures a year, specialized breast surgeons, transplant options, and more our Department cares for patients of all ages, including premature infants.
