Oxidative stress has been clearly linked with Alzheimer’s disease. Elucidating the molecular mechanisms underpinning the pathogenesis of this disease is crucial for developing new therapies. Genetically encoded redox biosensors allow for visualization of molecular pathways in both in vivo and in vitro studies. I am seeking to deploy these biosensors in uncovering the molecular mechanisms involved in Alzheimer’s disease. When not in the lab, I enjoy reading and watching soccer.
