Update: 5/12/17 – After graduation, Laura will return home to Germany in hopes of pursuing a graduate degree at University in Germany.
Laura Simon is a 4th year student at the University of Virginia from Simmern, Germany. She is a research assistant at CBHT through the University’s Internship Program (UIP) and is on the UVA Swim Team.
Laura is a 4th year Psychology and Economics major at the University of Virginia. Her main interest is Clinical Psychology and she hopes to continue to Graduate School in Psychology in Germany, where she is originally from. Laura joined the BHT in Fall 2016 and hopes her involvement will expose her to real world applications of psychology as well as various topics of research. So far her main project has been SHUTi for older adults. Laura also works in a lab in the psychology department that focuses on enhancing a person’s happiness. If Laura is not at the BHT or in class, chances are high that you will find her at the Aquatic and Fitness Center, since she is a part of the varsity swimming team.
