RESEARCH SUMMARY
Dr. Sharma’s research focuses on peripheral arterial disease, venous thromboembolism, and atypical arteriopathies such as fibromuscular dysplasia and spontaneous artery dissections. He is involved in over two dozen clinical trials related to vascular disorders. He has been the principal investigator of several of these studies, including the National Institutes of Health (NIH)and industry-funded trials. He has published over 100 original investigations, reviews, and meta-analyses in peer-reviewed journals. He has publications in top cardiovascular journals, such as the Journal of the American College of Cardiology and Circulation, to name a few.
