RESEARCH SUMMARY
Dr. Gimple has been involved in various clinical and translational research programs on coronary heart disease. This has included participating in numerous clinical trials in the cardiac catheterization laboratory and the outpatient setting. His work has included studies in restenosis, acute myocardial infarction, targeted-temperature management in cardiac arrest patients, thrombosis, and acute coronary syndromes. Dr. Gimple was a founding board member of the UVA Coulter Translational Research Program, which pursues entrepreneurial projects to improve human health. He has been involved in numerous online medical education programs, including Cardiovillage.
