• Predictive analytics – using patients’ continuous, real-time streaming data to look for hidden patterns that allow us to predict their clinical trajectory, focussed explicitly on predicting the risk of arrhythmia.
• Novel cardiac rhythm devices – developing and testing novel pacing and defibrillation solutions, focusing on revolutionizing our approach to cardiac rhythm device use in humans, taking transvenous leads out of the circulation and replacing them with leadless and extravascular solutions.
• Biological pacemaker development: improving our fundamental understanding of automaticity and conduction in the heart, leading to the development of biological pacing solutions either using the heart’s own electrical cells or by ‘transplanting’ cells to the heart to repair faulty automaticity or conduction.
