The Center supports the development and dissemination of educational scholarship through the following mechanisms:
- Professional development programming
- Management of institutional funding mechanisms to support educators
- Educational Research Grant
- Mentoring and professional development programming will be provided during the application process and throughout the funding cycle for Scholarly Innovation Fellowship and Educational Research Grants awardees.
- Oversight of GRIME
- Collaboration with the Academy for Excellence in Education

Workshop: AI Basics for Medical Educators
Thursday, Oct. 22, 2026 | Noon–1 p.m.

This workshop presents examples of how artificial intelligence models and tools can support medical education, including:
- Tools that enhance didactic learning and PowerPoint presentations
- Custom GPTs for active and independent learning
- Strategies for prompting, meta-prompting and integrating agentic AI tools into educational workflows
Speakers will demonstrate each tool alongside real use cases, then guide hands-on practice in small groups. Faculty will leave with a practical toolbox and a theoretical framework for bringing AI into their educational practice.
