[Sandridge Auditorium, McKim Hall 1st Floor] Nearly half of older Americans are lonely, and that half has a higher mortality and higher rate of disability over 6 years. linkAges (“link across the generations”) is a modular community-based social support system designed to help older adults successfully age-in-community. The program leverages technology and cross-generational social interactions to combat loneliness and isolation and to mitigate their adverse health effects.
