“Excellence in Clinical Trials: Practical Skills for Principal Investigators” Training Series

Due to the overwhelming success of our initial offering the CTU Education & Mentoring Team is pleased to present the return of this highly-requested training series. This program is intended for first-time Principal Investigators (PIs), aspiring PIs, and clinical researchers looking to enhance their skills in managing clinical trials. The in-person series will begin in November and meet monthly, concluding in May 2026. Those interested may register for all sessions or select specific sessions as desired. All sessions will take place in MR6 Room 2502. Registration for each session will be capped at 20 attendees so please act quickly to secure your spot!

Dec 11: Feasibility Assessments and Budget Building – Learn importance of feasibility assessments. Gain insight into budget development for various types of clinical trials.
Jan 8: Clinical Trial Financial Management – Develop strategies for optimal clinical trial financial management from startup through trial close-out.
Feb 12: Screening, Recruitment, and Consent – Under the process for screening and recruitment for clinical trials. Optimize a process for obtaining and documenting informed consent for research.
Mar 12: Document Control – Understand the rational and learn processes for keeping accurate, organized, and compliant study documentation.
Apr 9: Investigator-Initiated Clinical Trials – Learn best practices for managing your investigator-initiated clinical trial from start to finish.
