iTHRIV sunset in October
October 2025 Edition
The integrated Translational Health Research Institute of Virginia (iTHRIV) will sunset in October of this year. iTHRIV has been supported in part by an NIH Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA) grant as well as generous support from the School of Medicine and Office of the VPR. The grant will conclude this fall, however two important iTHRIV services will continue: ResearchMatch and sponsored trial offers for UVA investigators.
ResearchMatch
ResearchMatch is a disease-neutral online volunteer registry and recruitment tool for clinical research. This tool can be used at NO COST for recruitment for all UVA researchers! In the last 3 years, 44 research studies at UVA used this method to contact > 466,000 volunteers. More than 9,200 volunteers expressed interested in joining those studies. Sponsored Trial Offers for UVA Investigators

In partnership with TriNetX, UVA receives regular offers to participate in a variety of sponsored clinical trials as an enrolling site. Currently, a monthly reminder about these offers is made using the CRC listserv, and the trial offers are updated twice a month in the iTHRIV portal page.
Starting in October the SOM CTU will be leading this effort.
