Learn how the University of Virginia Health System (UVA Health) created a Training Model to enhance ease of use and user satisfaction with their electronic health record system (EHR)

An optional, opt-in based one-on-one provider Training Program, leveraging adult learning principles and adopting techniques of a similar program (Home4Dinner) published in a peer-reviewed journal by Stanford Children’s Hospital. The program’s goal is to improve patient care and provider job satisfaction by helping clinicians optimize their use of our Epic EMR. The UVA Office of CME is working collaboratively with the current SmartChart project team to provide project management needed to ensure accreditation standards and performance improvement requirements are met and to offer AMA PRA Category 1 credit TM and ABMS MOC Self-assessment (part II) & Performance Improvement (part IV) credit to providers participating in the project. Additional credit types being offered, ANCC Contact Hours.
