Community Outreach & Engagement

Community Outreach and Engagement (COE) is a long-standing part of the UVA Comprehensive Cancer Center, with almost two decades of commitment to the community of providing effective cancer control strategies to improve the lives of residents and cancer patients throughout our catchment area.

By supporting community-academic partnerships, we are able to increase the capacity of research in our communities that is responsive to the pressing health concerns of community members in our catchment area and disseminate relevant cancer control education, screening, and survivorship programs and services across Virginia and West Virginia.
