Our Partners

The COE has a strong history of developing and maintaining community advisory groups to advise and assist with our priorities. In addition to our Community Advisory Council, which serves the UVA Cancer Comprehensive Center, the Cancer Center also has regional, focused community groups. As part of COE’s diverse community partnerships, we work diligently to identify, address and support community needs.

University of Virginia Comprehensive Cancer Center Designation

As of February 2022, the University of Virginia earned a “Comprehensive Cancer Center” designation by the National Cancer Institute – this status would not have been possible without our partners across Virginia that provided community outreach, education, and collaboration. As part of this effort, we are grateful to our partners for their input, feedback, collaboration, and innovative ideas, all of which played an important role in preventing and addressing cancer.
