UVA Comprehensive Cancer Center Community Grants
LOI Application Deadline has closed.
Grant Overview
The University of Virginia Comprehensive Cancer Center (UVACCC) is one of just 57 in the U.S. While we are proud to offer high-quality patient care and cutting-edge research, we are just as committed to stopping cancer in its tracks through prevention, early detection and quality survivorship.
When people think about what cancer centers do, they often think of teams of experts providing the latest treatments or researchers toiling to develop potential breakthroughs in cancer care and prevention that are then tested in clinical trials. An essential part of being a comprehensive cancer center is outreach, education, and community collaboration. Community input, feedback, and innovative ideas are essential to address, prevent cancer, and enhance survivorship.
The Comprehensive Community Grants will allow our community partners to address cancer-related health disparities through innovative approaches.
The goal of the UVACCC Comprehensive Community Grants is to leverage the strengths of Virginia communities to address the cancer burden and advance health equity to help community members reach optimal health.
