Dr. Chung specializes in general medical dermatology with an interest in skin cancer, melanoma, and dysplastic moles.

Biography
Connie M. Chung, MD, Ph.D., is an assistant professor of dermatology at the UVA School of Medicine. She received her undergraduate degree from Cornell University and her medical degree and Ph.D. in biophysics from Boston University School of Medicine. Dr. Chung completed an internship in internal medicine at Yale-New Haven Hospital followed by residency training in dermatology at Virginia Commonwealth University. She is board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology.

Prior to coming to UVA Dr. Chung was a dermatologist in the Department of Dermatology at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. In addition, she was on the faculty at Harvard Medical School as an instructor in dermatology and was an assistant professor at George Washington School of Medicine & Health Sciences in Washington, DC. She has trained resident, taught medical students, and presented at the American Academy of Dermatology and World Congress of Dermatology
