HS Public Relations – Contacts

The Health System has several public relations specialists who can help to spread the word about your research to the greater University community (e.g., UVA Today, UVA Connect, Medical Alumni Magazine, University of Virginia Magazine) and beyond. Although they are happy to discuss anything novel at the SOM, they are especially interested in the following:

Cutting edge technologies at the SOM that promise to translate into novel patient care modalities or public health interventions;
Publications in high-impact journals, especially if you notify them long before the date of publication;
Major grant or contract awards;
Stories that highlight trends in a broader field of research, rather than a single study;
Stories that can be developed into UVA podcasts.
