Research Interests

Cytoskeletal architecture, dynamics and roles in cellular physiology and disease; High-resolution live cell and tissue imaging

Research Description

In every human cell, dynamic cytoskeletal networks drive or enable critical processes such as cell division, motility, and secretion. Cytoskeletal dysregulation consequently results in cellular malfunction and several pathologies, ranging from deafness and digestive diseases to cancer.

We use a combination of cutting-edge live cell and in vivo tissue imaging, quantitative cell biology approaches and organoid and mouse models to gain new insights into the physiological roles of cytoskeletal networks in epithelial function and dysfunction.
