The Department of Radiology’s Jennifer Harvey, MD, has been elected to serve on the Board of Directors for the Society of Breast Imaging. In addition to being a Professor of Radiology here at the University of Virginia Health System, Dr. Harvey also serves as the Chair of the Division of Breast Imaging, Co-Director of the Breast Care Program, and Vice-Chair of Faculty Development.
Dr. Harvey is nationally recognized for her expertise and excellence in Breast Imaging, and also serves on multiple committees for the American Board of Radiology, 
American College of Radiology, and Society of Breast Imaging. Dr. Harvey is an authority on Breast Imaging — she is the author of “Making the Diagnosis: A Practical Approach to Breast Imaging”, serves on the Editorial Boards for RadioGraphics and Journal of American College Radiology, and is a special consultant to the editor of Radiology. Her research interest is the association between breast density and breast cancer risk.
