The UVA Department of Radiology’s Saher Sabri, MD, has been awarded Fellowship status from the Society of Interventional Radiology for his many accomplishments in the field, leadership in clinical research, and exemplary efforts in training the next generation of Interventional Radiologists.
Dr. Sabri spends considerable time and effort training, on both a local and national level, medical students, residents, and fellows in Interventional Radiology. He also has significantly contributed to clinical research, leading to new literature and furthering knowledge in this area. In addition, Dr. Sabri actively participates in and leads discussions, activities, and committees for the Society’s Annual Scientific Meetings.
This honor speaks to Dr. Sabri’s commitment and contributions to improving medical practice by developing, testing and implementing breakthrough minimally invasive, image-guided treatments.
