~Changing of the Guard–Class of ’18 Graduates, Class of ’22 Arrives~
Saying Thanks
On the evening of Friday, June 22, UVA Radiology spent the evening celebrating and bidding “farewell” to our 2018 resident class:
Aparna (Ally) Baheti; MD, Brian Gardner, MD; Timothy Huber, MD; Rohit Koppula, MD; Connor Louden, MD; Gabriel Palmer, MD; AJ Pesch, MD; Udit (Sunny) Rawat, MD; Davis Rierson, MD; and Kellan Schallert, MD.
For all but one of the ten residents, however, it was not truly goodbye, as the rest will all be staying on at UVA for their fellowships.
The night was full of fun, family, and a few well-aimed jabs from the younger residents during the traditional “resident roast.” Once more, we want to thank all those involved for helping to make this a special night, and we especially want to thank the residents for their hard work over the past four years.

Highlighting Global Health Leaders
Two of the graduating residents–Connor Louden and Ally Baheti–were also the inaugural participants in the Spencer B. Gay Program, the global health leadership track for radiology at UVA. Their invaluable contributions to the program have helped set the course for a lasting partnership with radiology residents in Uganda.
Looking Ahead
On July 1, we will welcome our incoming resident class of 2022. Get to know their faces on our current residents page, and make sure to welcome them to our department. After all, this will be “home” for them for the next four years, at least.
