General Overview
UVA Radiology has designated up to $1500.00 per chosen applicant to help offset the costs of travel and housing for this externship. This program is a visiting radiology clerkship designed to provide MS-4’s interested in Radiology with the opportunity to experience what it is like to live and work in Radiology in Charlottesville. The clerkship is four weeks long and will involve rotations through all of our subspecialized divisions.
Eligibility
Competitive applicants demonstrate academic excellence, leadership skills and a variety of extracurricular experience. Students should be strongly considering a career in Diagnostic or Interventional Radiology.
The program is open to applicants who are first generation medical school attendees and/or socioeconomically disadvantaged students who have overcome substantial educational or economic obstacles in pursuit of their medical education.
