The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) has tapped UVA Health imaging expert James R. Stone, MD, PhD, to help develop guidelines for preventing serious brain injuries in military personnel.
Dr. Stone will be part of an expert group that will develop recommendations aimed at limiting military personnel’s exposure to situations that can cause traumatic brain injury and chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE). Read more on the UVA Health Newsroom.
