Congratulations to Dr. Peter Hallowell, MD, Chair and Dr. Christopher Scott, MD, Co-Chair of The Robotics Users Group

Congratulations to the University of Virginia Department of Surgery’s Dr. Peter T. Hallowell, MD, who will serve as the new Robotics Users Group Chair, and Dr. Christopher D. Scott, MD, who will serve as Co-Chair. The Robotics Users Group serves as the governance group for all robotic surgeons in the hospital.

UVA Health has continued to increase the number of robotic surgeries within the health system, with major investments in new and upgraded machines. Robotic surgeries continue to grow across the nation, leading to new research opportunities, less invasive procedures, and improved patient outcomes. We are excited to see the work that Dr. Hallowell and Dr. Scott will initiate in their new roles!
