Medical Students from Witt Lab Publish Paper in JAMA Network Open
Two medical students from Dr. Russell Witt’s research team recently published a paper in JAMA Open on the challenges surgical residents face in affording childcare. Student in Jianjie Ma, PhD Laboratory Becomes First to Graduate with Thesis in UVA’s Distinguished Majors Program in Human Biology
Zoe Tetz, an undergraduate student and member of Dr. Jianjie Ma’s lab, will be the first undergraduate student from the laboratory to graduate with a thesis in UVA’s Distinguished Majors Program in Human Biology this May. Her work focused on “The Effects of hCitH3-mAb on Chronic and Acute Inflammation in Aging Mice”, and the complete thesis can be viewed here.
Students in Jianjie Ma, PhD Laboratory Receive Harrison Undergraduate Research Awards
Four undergraduate students in the lab of Jianjie Ma, PhD have been honored with prestigious Harrison Undergraduate Research Awards. The recipients, Cindy Peng, Sophia Go, Caleb Johnson Wang, and Kelvin Chen, will each receive up to $3,000 to support their innovative research projects in the Ma Lab during the upcoming summer and academic year.
