Jaelyn Munson, MS

Jaelyn Munson, MSHealth Education Coordinator

Jaelyn Munson is a native of Virginia, having grown up in Chesterfield County.  She attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Sciences. She also holds a Master’s degree in Applied Nutrition and Physical Activity from Virginia Tech.  Jaelyn was trained as a Lifestyle Coach for the National Diabetes Prevention Program in 2019 and since has become a Master Trainer for the Lifestyle Coach Training and the Group Coaching Skills Training.  She also serves as one of CDC’s State Quality Specialists for the National Diabetes Prevention Program here in Virginia and works to provide quality technical assistance to all delivering organizations.

Jaelyn has worked in the wellness field in various settings throughout her career and enjoys building collaborative relationships to further health initiatives. She enjoys focusing on diabetes education and prevention in her role with VCDPE as it has been a longtime career goal. In her spare time, Jaelyn enjoys hiking and trail biking with friends and family as well as baking for family gatherings.
