three women in ppeWIMN was founded in 2015 as a Department of Medicine (DOM) initiative to support women faculty and trainees’ professional and personal growth. The three pillars that form the foundation and guiding principles of the WIMN work are Community, Advocacy, and Professional Development.

We provide professional development opportunities for women in medicine at UVA so that they may acquire the skills and strategies necessary for their professional advancement.
