Jessica is one of CBHT Lab & Research Technicians. She is a first generation college student and recently earned her B.A. in psychology from the University of Virginia. She’s been with CBHT since August 2019, and more recently was our Lead Undergraduate Research Assistant for the 2020-21 academic year. She prepared an undergraduate thesis with Dr. Kelly Shaffer for her distinguished majors program.
Throughout her undergraduate career, she fell in love with and found a fascination for the field of digital health whilst developing an undergraduate thesis (with Dr. Kelly Shaffer as her advisor) that analyzed the effects of an internet-delivered cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia intervention on symptoms of depression and anxiety among older adults. She is incredibly keen to continue working with CBHT during her gap year, as she prepares to apply to Clinical Psychology Ph.D. programs.
When she’s not working in digital health, Jessica is cooking, trying new restaurants, traveling (she’s been to 4 continents), and going salsa dancing in her free time (fun fact, she served as the President of UVA Salsa Club her fourth year!).
