Lois Shepherd publishes new AJOB commentary on “usual care” studies

Professor Lois Shepherd, in this peer commentary published in January 2020 in the American Journal of Bioethics, explains that much of the debate about comparative effectiveness research “involves a disagreement about whether CER trials are more like observational studies or more like trials of experimental therapies, with corresponding and substantially different requirements and review standards.”  (Click here to read the article.)
