The Center proudly celebrated the scholarship and leadership of our students, faculty, and fellows at the 2025 American Society for Bioethics and Humanities (ASBH) Annual Meeting. These presentations reflect our commitment to advancing ethical dialogue and interdisciplinary inquiry at the intersection of health, policy, and human experience. Through rigorous scholarship and collaborative engagement, the Center brings nationally recognized expertise in bioethics, law, and health humanities to address some of the most pressing questions in healthcare today.

• Chase Binion, MD, PhD Candidate presented Clinical, Ethical, and Public Health Considerations of Government-Subsidized Insurance Coverage for Routine Newborn Circumcision.
• Vivian Mok, MA shared her poster, Whether + How to Disclose Atypical Risks/Benefits of DBS During Informed Consent Conversations, during the Neuroethics Affinity Group session.
• Ishaan Rischie presented Disability, Identity, and Justice with Cosmetic or Medical Necessity? An Ethical Imperative for Hair Removal in the Context of Gender-Affirming Care.
• Lois Shepherd, JD, and Jess Walters, Arts Research Fellow, joined colleagues on the panel What Determines Eligibility for Liver Transplants in Patients With Alcohol Use Disorder?.
