October 6, 2023 by hw6eq@virginia.edu

CBIOThe CBIO Program of the UVA Comprehensive Cancer Center provides pilot grants for projects that align with the aims and future directions of the program. CBIO has two Aims: 1) Discover Mechanisms Driving Cancer and 2) Define targets and identify or develop small molecule modulators of validated targets. CBIO spans the entire range of translational efforts from identifying valid targets in cancer and using systems approaches to identify vulnerabilities to small molecule inhibitor development. The focus of the program and this pilot grant mechanism is to facilitate these efforts in ways that have the long-term potential to improve patient care.
