What We Do

Our mission is to reduce the cancer burden in the community by fostering strategic and collaborative partnerships that improve health outcomes. We achieve this through evidence-based education and interventions, supporting advocacy efforts, building capacity, and facilitating research opportunities that address the unique needs of communities.

Guided by principles of community impact and supported by leading faculty experts in community-based participatory research and implementation science, we assist with project facilitation, recruitment, data collection, and connecting researchers and community partners.

Community Impact Highlights

In 2022, the Community Impact Team connected with individuals across the region through outreach events, community screenings, and educational activities. These efforts focused on increasing awareness of early detection and prevention priorities across the catchment area.
