Professional Activities:
Laura has experience in the ICU, Acute Care, and Research settings. Formerly with the General Clinical Research Center, Laura currently works with Artificial Pancreas and Continuous Glucose Monitoring trials. Laura also manages the Nursing Pool for in-patient studies. ​

Personal Activities:
A Yankee by birth, Laura has enjoyed living in Charlottesville since 1990 when she attended UVA to obtain her MFA. Prior to her nursing career Laura has worked as a photographer, an actor, an arts administrator, a domestic violence shelter manager, and a professional firefighter with the Charlottesville FD. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her wonderful family and being in nature.​
