Data and Lab Technician

Professional Activities:

Eirian is an undergraduate in Biomedical Engineering at UVA. She joined the Center for Diabetes Technology in July of 2021. As alternately a Monitor and a Tier-2 Technician, she monitors data and study devices for errors and troubleshoots issues with device connections during in-clinic trials. She assists with setup of IT equipment for studies and trainings, as well as documenting and updating standard operating procedures for equipment and software setup, use, and troubleshooting. An upcoming project is the transfer of procedure documentation to an internal CDT wiki page to facilitate searchability of documentation.

Personal Activities:

Eirian is very involved with the First Year Players theatre group at UVA, acting as head sound for many productions. In her free time, she enjoys weight lifting, cooking, reading, and knitting.
