Professional Activities:

Dr. Jacopo Pavan received his PhD in Bioengineering in 2023, at the Department of Information Engineering of the University of Padova (IT). During his PhD, he worked on the development of closed-loop control strategies for different human-in-the-loop biomedical applications – type 1 diabetes management, glucose clamps, wearable robots, and anesthesia. His main areas of expertise are optimal control and learning.

Dr. Jacopo Pavan joined the Center for Diabetes Technology in 2023. He is currently working on dynamically tracking patients’ usage of technologies for the management of type 1 diabetes, in order to identify possible drops in adherence and adapt the system accordingly.

Personal Activities:

In Jacopo’s free time, he enjoys cooking, gigs, and hiking.
